Love of Dog Bakery is committed to helping animals in need. That's why 5% of all online sales are donated to a local or national charity each month, to benefit homeless animals.
The "Charity of the Month" for July 2008 is:
Lost Angels Animal Rescue, Inc.

Lost Angels Animal Rescue, Inc. is at the forefront of supporting the no-kill movement in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area. They routinely rescue adoptable dogs from high-kill shelters, fostering them and caring for them until Forever Homes can be found. These "lost angels" are owner surrenders, dogs with treatable medical conditions, dogs who just want someone to love them the way they deserve to be loved. Though they are a small group, Lost Angels Animal Rescue, Inc. successfully found Forever Homes for 734 homeless dogs in 2007. That's 734 beloved pets who would probably have been euthanized if not for the dedication and compassion of the volunteers and charitable donations from individuals. Lost Angels Animal Rescue, Inc. is funded entirely on private donations and fundraising events. They are a 501(3)c non-profit organization and proudly state that "100% of all donations go to our dogs."

Donations are made by Love of Dog Bakery at the end of each month. In addition, we encourage you to take a moment to donate to this, or any other worthy charity, directly. Any amount, no matter how large or small, can make a great difference in the life of a needy animal and the good work these organizations accomplish every day.
